The
Inspection Board was established to promote and encourage high standards of
service and ethics in the security industry, and to endeavour to procure the
protection of purchasers, hirers and users of security services and systems.
The SSAIB is accredited, by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, in
accordance with EN 45011 as a Product Certification Body and in accordance
with EN 45012 as a Quality Management System Certification Body.
SSAIB Inspection Regime
Inspections are intended to ensure compliance of systems are being installed
to the relevant British or European standards. There are three main aspects
to inspection, which are as follows:

Company - Company inspections include checks of the system
documents and records required by; e.g. BS 4737 &
DD243:2004. Checks are also carried out to ascertain preventative
maintenance visits and 24 hour service response times as required by BS
4737 Part 4 Section 4.2 clause 3.2 and 3.3 &
DD243:2004. |

System - System inspections are technically focused on compliance
with the relevant British Standards and the general standard of
installation. |

Maintenance - Inspectors check systems are being maintained at
the frequencies specified in relevant standards as agreed with
customers. The inspectors also check that
preventive maintenance is being carried out in compliance with
standards. |
All
inspections are carried out by inspectors with many year's experience in the
installation and maintenance of security systems, who are qualified to
assess the quality of the work of Sonic Security Services Ltd and the
compliance of the systems installed with relevant Standards and Codes of
Practice.
